I’m working on a new Book Project (Power and Faith) entitled: “Privilege, Power, Position, Status, and Secrets to unlocking Divine Intervention.” It will be two books in one part A and B.
Part A is really a continuation of a previous book, “Neoliberalism, Globalization, Income Inequality Poverty And Resistance.”
But in this new book project, we will focus on the theoretical, philosophical and socio-economic justification and strategies behind the relationships (global south, global north, rich-poor binaries) that create income inequality, poverty, winners and losers. Thereby we will, in this study, look at strategies as tools of power that poses challenges to human society. It will deconstruct philosophy and critique history. It’s a social commentary and academic book that will explore the foundations and evolution of knowledge within western civilizations and make comparisons with other traditions and civilizations such as eastern traditions.
We will explore the issue of hegemony, privilege, position and the dynamics of human nature. We will examine the global south—global north dynamic speaking to the economic dynamic of that exchange, and use, history, philosophy, psychology, politics, theology, anthropology and economics to the discipline of our study as the book project will be interdisciplinary and yet contained within liberal arts and studies as we will speak to issues of ethics and human value. I have already written a concept paper and a podcast exploring this.
Part B: Faith: Secrets to Unlocking Divine Intervention
Secondly, Part B will be about Secrets to Unlocking Divine Intervention. It may be far fetched to the first part but it is not. As I am talking about human tendencies to privilege a position. So this second part is really suggesting steps that leads to the activation of divine intervention. But I will say it’s not a rule or a doctrine, just an experience or perspectives from experiences that follow certain patterns that have lead to a conclusion of divine intervention that may benefit the reader. In one sense it’s a self-help resource in another it’s an academic discussion about the ideas of God. I will use ethnographic methods to explore this concept which will include providing some faith experiences/stories where Divine intervention takes place make a conclusion then provide And flesh out ten steps based on these and my own experiences as a pastor, missionary and someone who has experienced and studies divine intervention and matters of faith. It’s a powerful and bold book project that will add value to those who read it but to society as we seek to provide catharsis and perspectives for understanding and a common and more aware and understanding community and society.
I have written a concept document, completed anecdotal research and compiled some ethnographies and am moving to the next steps.
